HA5ES (five public housing estates): Revitalizing residential spaces for a better quality of life


PROJECT 
OVERVIEW

We revitalized five public housing estates in Hong Kong by incorporating new façade designs and new color schemes into the aging buildings. Meanwhile, we also concentrated on the transformation of communal areas and underutilized spaces into inclusive and welcoming spaces that allow residents to convene outside of their residences. This was done to better align with the evolving demographics and needs of the community. These enhancements are essential for public housing in Hong Kong, where residents frequently prefer to socialize and meet with friends in communal areas rather than within their cramped homes. We endeavor to improve the quality of life and the well-being of residents through weaving the needs and thoughts of residents into the façade and communal spaces of buildings.
